Dye flower Coreopsis basalis is excellent for hot dry sites with poor soil. Reseeds easily. Is a very early spring bloomer. Thin turf, broadcast seeds over area, rake or drag to make contact with soil. Water occasionally if able, until sprouted. Sow in fall for spring blooms. North Florida ecotype. Net weight 30 mg. Will seed 100 sq ft. Minimum germination is 73%.
